How to check battery health on device with Android OS?

When it comes to the battery health it is a very important factor, the condition of which is not obvious at first glance (such as the condition of the display or the body of the device), but it largely determines the usability of the device.  Any powerful and handy device is more or less unusable without an adequate battery.  Even batteries with huge capacities, however, lose power over time and the endurance of the device can gradually, but sometimes suddenly and unexpectedly decrease.  It is therefore good to pay attention to the health of the battery, ie its maximum capacity and discharge speed, and check it regularly.

Battery health check on smartphones with Android OS

If you own an Android phone, you probably know that battery health is not information that is completely at hand.  Unlike Apple devices, which always have this feature available in the settings, in "androids" battery health is much worse available.  The good news, however, is that with a little patience, you can have this feature / information available in a few minutes.  Let's see how to do it.

How to find out battery health on android devices?

The first way we'll show now may look a little pofid.  Plus, it doesn't always work, but if your device supports it, it's the fastest way to check your battery health.  Just follow these 2 steps:

  1. Open the dial
  2. Enter code * # * # 4636 # * # *
  3. In the menu that appears, click on “Battery Information”

The second method requires downloading a new application, but you can be sure that it will work. In the Play store, you can find a huge number of applications that offer an overview of battery health and other useful features.  To avoid lengthy retrievals, we recommend that you download AccuBattery straight away.  It is reliable, clear and, most importantly, free.

After installing the application, just open it and after clicking on the Health tab, you can check the status of your battery.  In addition, the application will offer you additional information, including the current maximum capacity (thus what percentage of the original capacity can still be really used) or the estimated time to discharge.  The accuracy of individual data may be slightly questionable from the beginning - we therefore recommend waiting a few cycles (discharge-charge of the device) and the data should be much more reliable.

Tips on how to save battery health and keep it at a high level for as long as possible

  1. If you care about the condition of your mobile phone and want it to remain fully functional and usable for as long as possible, we recommend that you follow these tips to help you keep your battery health in good working order for as long as possible.
  2. Do not fully discharge the device to 0% and do not charge it to 100%
  3. Keep the battery between 20-40 and 80%
  4. Avoid fast charging
  5. Do not expose the device to extremely high temperatures, especially during charging
  6. Use only original but other trusted chargers and cables
  7. Do not charge during the night (at 100%)

If the health of your battery is below 80%, we recommend replacing it. This is often significantly more cost-effective than replacing the entire device. Your mobile phone will literally get a second breath and it will be quite possible to serve you for several years without any problems.
