Face ID functionality is not affected by the diplay replacement, the module is included with other parts. We recommend that you take extra care when replacing it.

  • The True Tone function will be preserved after copying the serial number, otherwise it will remain disabled/non-functional.
  • The need to use a functional programmer.
  • Copying the data and serial number from the original LCD to the programmer.
  • Copying the data and serial number to the new LCD (chip) from the programmer.

Touch ID feature

  • Fingerprint authentication.

Retain Touch ID after replacing the LCD display for iPhone...

  • Not part of the display.
  • Need to swap the fingerprint sensor from the original display to the new display kit.

Preserve Face ID when replacing the LCD display for iPhone 11

  • Face ID is not included with the display.
  • When replacing the display, care must be taken to store Face ID components.
  • They must be stored in the same way as on the original display (device).
  • After replacing the display, the Face ID feature is only functional if none of the essential components on your original iPhone are damaged. In the event of damage, repair is only possible at an Apple Authorised Centre.

Important Display Message

  • Displayed after replacing the display from iPhone XS to the latest model.
  • Informs you that you're replacing the original part with a new one.
  • The message has no effect on the performance of the device.
  • It appears on the lock screen for 4 days, then in Settings.

This is because the display replacement has not been approved by Apple's official software and the part has not been paired with your motherboard.

Waterproof

When you replace the display, a new adhesive (seal) is automatically applied to protect your iPhone against moisture and dust.

As this is an intervention in the phone, it cannot be guaranteed that your iPhone will be waterproof again after the service.

Tip:

Dust and moisture most commonly enter the phone through damaged camera glass and a detached display. To avoid the risk of further damage, such as oxidation or possible short circuit, we recommend replacing the damaged part as soon as possible.

Tips before installation

  1. Try to carry out the repair in a dry and dust-free environment
  2. Turn off the iPhone
  3. Pay attention to fragile components, especially connectors and flex cables
  4. Carefully remove flex cables
  5. Thoroughly test the display before mounting or gluing (folding and laying the flex cables)

If you have received a damaged device from a courier, please notify our customer support (by email or phone) and the shipping company by which the ordered goods were delivered to you immediately (within 24 hours at the latest).

  • Installation of the part should be carried out by a qualified service technician.
  • We are not responsible for any damage caused during installation.
