Step 4: Go to Settings > Bluetooth or Settings > [your AirPods].

  • If your AirPods/AirPods Pro appear as connected, tap More info, then tap Remove this device. Tap again to confirm the removal.
  • If the AirPods/AirPods Pro do not appear, continue with the next step.

Step 5: Place the AirPods/AirPods Pro back in the charging case and leave the cover open.
Step 6: Press and hold the button on the back of the case for approximately 15 seconds until the status indicator on the front starts flashing orange and then white*.
*Resetting your AirPods/AirPods Pro also resets their settings.

Step 7: Reconnect the AirPods/AirPods Pro: Place the AirPods/AirPods Pro in the charging case with the cover open near your iPhone or iPad and follow the on-screen instructions.
