Guide for replacing the battery in the Samsung Galaxy A21s.

Opening the device will compromise its waterproof seal. If you do not replace it, the phone will still function, but it will no longer be waterproof.

Before you begin disassembly, discharge the battery in the device to below 25%. If your battery is swollen, proceed with extreme caution and do not heat the device. If you are not sure how to proceed, take the device to a professional.

During reassembly, you will need adhesive to secure the battery and the back cover.

Perform the repair in a clean and well-lit area.

After completing the repair, calibrate your new battery to achieve optimal performance. Charge it to 100% and continue charging it for at least another 2 hours. Then use the phone until it turns off due to a depleted battery, and subsequently charge it uninterrupted to 100%.

Heating the bottom edge of the smartphone helps soften the adhesive securing the display and makes it easier to open.

  • Use a hair dryer or heat gun to heat the bottom edge of the smartphone for approximately 3 minutes until the temperature reaches approximately 80°C.
  • Do not put the smartphone in a microwave !!!

Step 3
Opening 2

Opening 2
  • Place the suction cup on the back cover so that you can gently separate the back cover from the smartphone frame.
  • Then insert the Fixservis card between the frame and the back cover to create a small gap, and slowly slide it along to detach the back cover.
  • If necessary, use cleaning fluid (Cleanser - Isopropanol 100%).

If you have trouble separating the back cover, heat the smartphone again to further soften the adhesive. Be careful to avoid overheating the device.
