When to replace the HEPA filter?

    • If it’s very dirty and can’t be cleaned,
    • If the vacuum has reduced suction – often caused by a clogged filter.

How to clean a HEPA filter

Filters can be washable or non-washable. Check the product description – if it doesn’t clearly say “washable,” do not wash it.

    Cleaning methods:

    • The best method is to blow out the filter with compressed air.
    • First against the airflow direction, then along the pleats.
    • Do not use high pressure – it could damage the filter.

If you don’t have compressed air:

    • Gently dust it off with a soft brush.
    • You can also gently tap it on a flat surface (not on the edge!).

    If the filter is washable:

    • Rinse it with lukewarm water
    • First against the airflow direction,
    • Then along the pleats from the opposite side.
    • Let it dry thoroughly for at least 24 hours

Do not dry it on a radiator or in an oven!

You can wash the filter up to 3 times, then replace it. Both washable and non-washable filters have the same lifespan – the difference is only in the cleaning method.
