  • Philips Hu4801, Hu4802, Hu4803, Hu4102, Hu4801, Hu4803, Hu4811, Hu4813 Humidifier wick filter

    • Replacement wick filter designed for Philips humidifiers
    • It helps restore proper moisture output and ensures that your humidifier delivers clean, comfortable humidity throughout your home. The high-absorbency wicking material draws water efficiently from the tank and releases it as a gentle, invisible moisture into the air.
    • The filter uses a multi-layer honeycomb structure, which increases the evaporative surface area and allows for steady and even humidification. This design also helps trap minerals and impurities commonly found in tap water, preventing them from being released into the room. As a result, your humidifier can run more smoothly, more quietly, and with better long-term performance.
    • By replacing a worn or clogged wick, you help prevent bacterial buildup, maintain clean evaporation, and keep your Philips humidifier working the way it was intended. Regular replacement is essential for consistent humidity output, improved air comfort, and the prevention of white dust.
    • Installation is simple—remove the used wick, insert the new filter, fill the tank, and your humidifier is ready to operate efficiently again. Suitable for bedrooms, living rooms, offices, and nurseries where stable humidity contributes to easier breathing and better overall comfort.
    • Aftermarket spare part
    • Package content: 1pc humidifier wick filter

When to replace the air purifier filter?

    • If it’s damaged (cracked frame, torn material, loose seams).
    • If it’s saturated with dust, smoke, or odors and cannot be cleaned.
    • If the air purifier shows reduced performance or airflow.
    • If the indicator light on your air purifier signals filter replacement.
    • If you notice unusual smells coming from the device – often caused by an old carbon filter.

How to clean an air purifier filter

Air purifier filters can be washable or non-washable, depending on the model. Always check the product description. If it does not explicitly say “washable”, do not wash it.

Cleaning methods for non-washable filters (HEPA / dust filters):

    • The safest method is to blow out the filter with low-pressure compressed air.
    • Clean first against the airflow direction, then along the pleats.
    • Avoid strong pressure – too much force may tear the fibers and reduce filtration efficiency.

If you don’t have compressed air:

    • Gently dust off the surface with a soft brush.
    • You may also lightly tap the filter on a flat surface to release dust (never hit the edges!).

Do not wash or soak non-washable HEPA filters.
Water will permanently damage the filtration fibers.

    Cleaning methods for washable filters:

Some pre-filters and coarse dust filters are washable.

    • Rinse it with lukewarm water (never hot).
      • First against the airflow direction.
      • Then along the pleats from the opposite side.
    • Let it dry completely for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.
    • Do not dry on a radiator or in an oven – heat can deform the frame.
    • Washable filters can normally be cleaned up to 2–3 times, then they should be replaced.

    Important

Both washable and non-washable filters have similar lifespans.
The difference is only in the recommended cleaning method, not in durability.
