When a battery catches fire, every second counts

A lithium battery fire can occur, for example, during charging, due to mechanical damage, or because of a cell failure. With Li-Ion batteries, a phenomenon known as thermal runaway may occur, causing a chain reaction in which individual cells progressively overheat and may reignite even after the visible flames have been extinguished.

Bonpet E-Bike & Scooter Edition is a fire extinguishing spray designed as a first-response solution for fires involving lithium batteries in e-scooters, e-bikes, and other devices with battery capacities of up to 1 kWh. Bonpet extinguishing liquid helps suppress flames, intensely cool the surface, and reduce the risk of reignition.

How it works

• Intensive cooling – when the extinguishing liquid comes into contact with a hot surface, it absorbs a large amount of heat and helps rapidly reduce the temperature of the battery cells.
• Limits oxygen access – during the action of the extinguishing liquid, CO₂ and N₂ gases are released, helping suppress combustion directly on the burning surface.
• Helps prevent reignition – residual components of the extinguishing liquid remain on the surface and may reactivate if the temperature rises again.
• Non-toxic composition – the contents are non-toxic, halon-free, and environmentally friendly for people, animals, and the environment.

How to use

1. Remove the safety lock.
2. Aim the spray at the fire.
3. Press the trigger and apply the extinguishing liquid as needed.

The recommended extinguishing distance is 1 to 4 metres. When extinguishing electrical equipment, maintain a minimum distance of 2 metres. The spray can be used repeatedly until the container is completely empty.
